rhea anna shoots upstate dairy for cenergy

rhea: “we interviewed farmers on location at 14 different dairy operations in upstate new york. the farms varied in size from small organic farms with less than 20 cows to huge dairies with over 2500 cows. it was a bit of a challenge pinning the farmers down for more than 15 minutes at a time because they are always working! it’s a demanding business and it was difficult for the farms to slow down to accommodate our production needs.”

despite obstacles, rhea and her crew were able to pull off a gorgeous series of stills and video and were privileged to witness the birth of a calf along the way! the work is currently being used for website, OOH and POP.

Rhea shoots Video for Mazda’s “Zoom Zoom”

Rhea spent one hell of a “Zoom Zoom” day traveling across Canada shooting a video for Madza’s SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY. The objective — document a road trip starting in Toronoto and ending in Quebec City. The challenge — make it there on one tank of gas. The results were amazing not all MPGs are created equal. See how Mazda’s SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY brings fuel economy and driving performance together. At the end of 2011, John had the pleasure of collaborating with Line 6, a manufacturer of amplifiers, effects processors, and USB audio interfaces. The company was looking to step up the photography of their website in conjunction with the launch of their groundbreaking new sound mixer. Piper shoots The Head and the Heart:

“I was asked to photograph The Head and The Heart for iTunes in October 2011. We shot at the famous East West Studios, where everyone from Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan to Green Day and Weezer have recorded. Even Old Blue Eyes croonered many a tune between those walls. The shoot was relatively quick, as the band were there to record their live album. They had been on tour for the majority of 2011, and they were tired. By the time we got to our last set up in the studio, we were all feeling comfortable together and having a lot of fun. The next night I went to see them play at the Music Box Theater—definitely one of the best gigs I saw in 2011. I love the record—no surprise they top every “best of 2011″ album list. Give it a listen and enjoy the shots.” -piper ferguson

Rhea had the opportunity to work with Partners & Napier once again—this time for Excellus. She’s a multi-faceted shooter…and humor is just part of her bag of tricks. Jeff Hopper offered up these kind words about why he chose Rhea for this job:
