Piper shoots The Head and the Heart:

“I was asked to photograph The Head and The Heart for iTunes in October 2011. We shot at the famous East West Studios, where everyone from Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan to Green Day and Weezer have recorded. Even Old Blue Eyes croonered many a tune between those walls. The shoot was relatively quick, as the band were there to record their live album. They had been on tour for the majority of 2011, and they were tired. By the time we got to our last set up in the studio, we were all feeling comfortable together and having a lot of fun. The next night I went to see them play at the Music Box Theater—definitely one of the best gigs I saw in 2011. I love the record—no surprise they top every “best of 2011″ album list.
