lenlee represents: the vintage airstream self-promotion kit unfolds

posted on | November 30, 2010 | 12 comments

this story began with my dream of owning an airstream of my own, and has evolved into a lovely self-promo. in short, i was looking for a unique and different concept for a self-promotional piece that my entire roster could each contribute to in their own respective styles. i asked them to shoot a story about the vintage airstream in their own interpretation and they all came through with artfully crafted and compelling visual series. ian nordeck, our very talented designer, brought all 4 stories together into one beautiful, collectible piece that we’re all very proud of. we had a lot of fun producing the campaign and have received some great feedback on the kit as a whole. take a look inside!

vintage airstream promo kit giveaway: follow me on twitter— each day, for ten days, i will be asking a question that pertains to this campaign or a photographer on my roster. the first person to reply with the correct answer will receive a kit in the mail. good luck!

Wendi Shoots Recipes for Your Fall Table for Portland’s Mix Magazine

posted on | November 1, 2012 | no comments

Wendi Nordeck recently shot Mix Magazine’s latest feature. “Truth be told, we had to shoot this root vegetable story back in March of 2012, while the roots were still available in the farmers markets and grocery stores. It was a typical March day in Portland—cloudy, gray and rainy. Serendipitously, just as we were about to shoot the roots still-life, the sun came out and graced the table with beautiful light. We captured the shot in an instant, and the sun was gone. All the recipes I sampled were delicious but my favorite was the celery root puree with anjou pears. It had a smooth and creamy texture, similar to mashed potatoes, but with a more complex, yet subtle flavor.” Recipes by Diane Morgan, author of “Roots” published by Chronicle Books.

Wendi recently shot a series of chili pepper themed photos for Oregon-based, mix magazine. editor danielle centoni had this to say about working with wendi: “wendi is the ultimate pro. thanks to her incredible skill, keen eye, vast array of fabulous props and cutting-edge equipment, our photo shoot went off without a hitch. in no time at all, she had produced a wide range of gorgeous images, allowing us to tell a cohesive editorial story with enough variation to keep it feeling fresh from the first page to the last.” Check out the story here.
